This strap isn’t NJS-certified, but honestly—getting a single-piece buffalo leather strap with no stitching at this price is kind of amazing. Way cooler-looking than nylon straps, and easier to break in too.
Made from buffalo leather, it’s simple, sturdy, and easy to work with.
Straps are one of the most wear-and-tear-heavy parts of a bike. If they get soaked in the rain and you leave them wet, the leather can degrade faster. So if it gets wet, wipe it down—and every now and then, show it some love with leather oil. It'll age beautifully if you take care of it.
The buckle hardware is stainless steel, so no worries about rust even if it gets wet.
