If there’s one thing that defines Nakase’s look, it’s his cap. And out of his whole hat stash, the De Gaulle cap is his true ride-or-die. He owns about four of them. The story goes that French Army General Charles de Gaulle made this cap his signature style back in the day. These days, people might recognize it more as a type of work cap.

Why Nakase’s hooked on De Gaulle

The magic is in the shape. Flat, round top. Shallow sides. Short brim. That shallow × shallow combo is exactly what wins Nakase’s heart.
