If there’s one brand that can make a tool the main character, it’s RUNWELL.
This thing looks so cool you might end up buying a fixed gear just to have an excuse to use it. Yeah… it’s that level of cool.
And let’s be honest — you using this tool with a proud little grin on your face? Also cool.
Throwing it into a messy toolbox would be a crime. This is the kind of tool you want to hang on the most visible wall in your living room and admire like art.

Grampa Nakase love this tool too, and it’s not just about looks.
It supports the most commonly used fixed-gear cogs from 12T to 18T, and of course, it works with lockrings as well. There is a shorter version, but this is the longer one — which means more leverage and easier torque.

What’s different from SHIMANO?
SHIMANO’s Sprocket tool is the standard choice, but if you’re buying a tool anyway… why not pick the cooler one? You’ll probably use it for life.
With SHIMANO’s tool, you have to wrap the chain around the cog to tighten or loosen it. That wrapping process is always a little clumsy and slow. With this RUNWELL tool, the operation is super clean and smooth.
Also, after long-term use, SHIMANO’s chain part can deform. When that happens, you either replace the chain yourself or buy a whole new tool.
With the RUNWELL tool, there’s no chain to wear out in the first place. And even if the plate that hooks onto the lockring eventually wears down, you can simply replace the plate itself — no need to replace the entire tool.
